Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA)  

The Aqaba Special Economic Zone (ASEZ) was inaugurated in 2001 as a bold economic initiative by the government of Jordan. A liberalized, low tax duty-free and multi–sector development zone, the ASEZ offers multiple investment opportunities in a strategic location on the Red Sea covering an area of 375 km² and encompassing the total Jordanian coastline (27 km), the sea-ports of Jordan and an international airport.

Through the enterprise agreement signed with ASEZA, the Professional Desktop Platform was deployed to all entity users to standardize the desktop platform , and Convergence’s certified technical engineers have finalized upgrading the OS to Windows 7 that will help the clients increase their daily work efficiency and minimize the time needed to accomplish their tasks from the wide range of features offered by Windows 7.

As part of the training services, a training academy will be established at ASEZA through our CPLS “CompuBase”, to provide trainings to ASEZA staff and Aqaba citizens to enhance the knowledge of IT engineers and help move IT to the next level.
 










 
Jordan Commercial Bank

By renewing the Microsoft Enterprise Agreement for Jordan Commercial Bank, the client acquired the latest of Microsoft Technologies and was the first bank in Jordan to deploy and use Microsoft Data Protection Manager Server (DPM) which is designed to help IT Professionals manage their Windows Server infrastructure. DPM 2007 sets a new standard for Windows backup and recovery—delivering continuous data protection for Microsoft application and file servers to a seamlessly integrated secondary disk and tape solution on the DPM server. DPM enables rapid and reliable recovery through advanced technology for enterprises of all sizes.
A project plan for deploying Windows 7 will be set with the bank’s IT department. Also, planning for Business Intelligence solutions and implementing SharePoint Server 2007.
 
  Electricity Distribution Co.

Electricity Distribution Company was established in accordance with the decision of the Council of Ministers adopted at its session held on 4/10/1997 to establish a separate company from the national electricity company in order to take over the electricity distribution activity in the distribution areas operated by National electric power co., It has been registered as a Public shareholding company on 21 February, 1998 under the number (335) with a capital of 10 million Jordanian dinars of which the government owns (75%) and the national electricity company owns (25%) and that’s divided into equal shares with a nominal value of the dinar per share.

The coalition includes Jordan Dubai Energy Investment and infrastructure , Kuwait Privatization Projects Holding Co. and United Arab Investors Company who established the Saudi Electricity Company for energy investments that won the Privatization tender in 2007 Where they purchased 100% of the government's share of the electricity distribution company’s shares.
Electricity Distribution Company’s distribution networks cover the following geographical areas:
Southern Region: It includes Aqaba, Ma’an, and Al-Tafeela & Al-Karak.
Middle Region: It includes Jordan Valley a region stretching from north Al-Hemme to the north-east coast of the Dead Sea.

Eastern Region: It includes Al-Azraq, Al-Safawi, Al-Rwaished & Al-Reesheh to the Iraqi borders.

By signing Microsoft Enterprise Agreement, the client will be deploying the latest of Microsoft Technologies and developing solutions that will help the entity reduce costs and increase their ROI and the maximize the value of their assets. Through the Premier Support Services Agreement signed with Microsoft, the client will upgrade the infrastructure and migrate it to the latest releases of Microsoft Technologies, along with deploying new solutions such as Microsoft Office SharePoint Server to facilitate collaboration, provide content management features, implement business processes, and supply access to information that is essential to organizational goals and processes.
 








 
Alia - Royal Jordanian Airlines

Royal Jordanian's role as Jordan's national carrier has now long been established. Today, under the invaluable guidance and directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the airline carries out its mission, while continuously modernizing and upgrading its services, renewing its fleet and expanding its route network and operations.

By renewing the Microsoft Enterprise Agreement for Royal Jordanian Airline, the client acquired the latest of Microsoft Technologies. A SharePoint project will be implemented for RJ site upon their set of needs and requirements.

A project plan for deploying Windows 7 will be set with RJ’s IT department. All infrastructer planning will be set after site profiling is documented and RJ needs are specified.
